(C) NO PORTION OF THE REGISTRATION FEE OR OTHER FEES
PAID ON VEHICLES REQUIRED TO BE REGISTERED UNDER THIS
SECTION WILL BE REFUNDED FOR ANY PART OF THE YEAR DURING
WHICH THE VEHICLE IS NOT USED UNLESS PURSUANT TO AN ORDER
ISSUED BY AN AGENCY OF THE STATE OR THE UNITED STATES
GOVERNMENT, THE OWNER OF THE VEHICLE DISCONTINUES OPERATION
OF THE VEHICLE. IF OPERATION IS DISCONTINUED A PERSON MAY,
AT ANY TIME ON OR AFTER THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THE ORDER,
SURRENDER TO THE ADMINISTRATION THE REGISTRATION PLATES
ISSUED TO THE VEHICLE AND APPLY FOR A REFUND OF THE
REGISTRATION FEE PAID FOR THE VEHICLE PRORATED FOR THE
UNUSED PORTION OF THE REGISTRATION YEAR.

(c) For truck tractors registered under [Article 56,
§§ 181 through 190] § 13-422 of the Code, the annual
registration fee is based on the maximum gross weight of the
vehicle in combination with a trailer or semitrailer, as
follows:

(b) (1) Except as otherwise provided in this
subsection, for each Class I (charter bus) vehicle, the
annual registration fee is based on the seating capacity of
the bus, as follows:

(2) If the vehicle is [one for which the annual
fee required by Article 56, § 184 (a) or Article 81, § 273
(a) of the Code has been paid] REQUIRED TO BE REGISTERED
UNDER § 13-422 OF THIS ARTICLE or if the vehicle is a Class
J (van pool) vehicle, it is exempt from the registration fee
specified in this subsection.
13-933.1.
(A) EVERY MOTOR VEHICLE THAT IS USED FOR THE
TRANSPORTATION OF PASSENGERS FOR HIRE AND IS REQUIRED TO
REGISTER UNDER § 13-422 OF THIS ARTICLE, IS A CLASS P
(PASSENGER BUS) VEHICLE.
