SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1981.

CHAPTER 713

(Senate Bill 521)

AN ACT concerning

Vehicle Registration - Vehicles Subject to Public
Service Commission Permit

FOR the purpose of transferring certain provisions
pertaining to the registration of vehicles subject to
regulation by the Public Service Commission from
Article 56 to the Transportation Article; transferring
certain provisions pertaining to registration of
vehicles used for the transportation of passengers for
hire from Article 81 to the Transportation Article;
repealing certain provisions from Articles 78 and 81
that either are unnecessary, are no longer applicable,
or are duplicative; removing obsolete language from
Article 78 that relates to a repealed tax; and
generally relating to the registration of vehicles
subject to Public Service Commission regulation.
