(c) The scholarship award shall be in the amount OF
$800 for use in the next ensuing academic year. Each award,
provided it is accepted by the eligible student, shall be
renewable, on an annual basis, for a maximum of 3 years
subsequent to the original award, if the recipient remains a
resident of the State, attends an accredited postsecondary
institution in the State, is enrolled as a full-time
undergraduate student, and maintains a 3.0 grade average.

18-1103.

The Board shall annually select a number of alternate
scholarship awards under this subtitle. In the event the
annual number of awards is not made, as provided in Section
18-1101, the Board may make an award from the alternate list
as necessary to assure that 300 awards are made annually.

18-1104.

An award granted under this subtitle is for $800 per
year and may be used for:

(1)  Tuition and mandatory fees;

(2)  Room and board; and

(3)  Books and supplies.

18-1105.

These scholarship awards are in addition to any other
State scholarships that are available to the student.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1981.

AN ACT concerning

Asbestos Removal - Standards Licensure

FOR the purpose of providing minimum standards for asbestos

removal and encapsulation; requiring certain

individuals to notify the Commissioner of Labor and
Industry and to apply for an asbestos removal permit
from the Secretary of Health and Mental Hygiene by a
certain time; requiring issuance of a permit by the
Secretary in order to engage in a removal project;
