HARRY HUGHES, Governor                               2533

(A)  THERE IS HEREBY CREATED WITHIN THE DIVISION A
STATE USE INDUSTRIES ADVISORY COMMITTEE.

(B) (1) THE ADVISORY COMMITTEE SHALL CONSIST OF THE
FOLLOWING MEMBERS OR THEIR RESPECTIVE DESIGNEES:

(I)  THE COMMISSIONER SHALL SERVE AS AN EX
OFFICIO MEMBER;

(II)  THE STATE COMPTROLLER;

(III)  THE SECRETARY OF THE DEPARTMENT OF
GENERAL SERVICES;

(IV)  TWO MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY,
ONE OF WHOM SHALL BE APPOINTED BY THE SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE
OF DELEGATES AND ONE OF WHOM SHALL BE APPOINTED BY THE
PRESIDENT OF THE SENATE;

(V)  THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE STATE
BOARD FOR COMMUNITY COLLEGES;

(VI)  THE STATE SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS,
DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION;

(VII)  THE SECRETARY OF THE DEPARTMENT OF
ECONOMIC AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT;

(VIII)  THE SECRETARY OF THE DEPARTMENT OF
HUMAN RESOURCES;

(IX)  THE SECRETARY OF BUDGET AND FISCAL
PLANNING; AND

(X)  FOUR MEMBERS OF PRIVATE INDUSTRY, WHO
SHALL BE APPOINTED BY THE GOVERNOR FOR TERMS OF 3 YEARS
EACH, BEGINNING JULY 1, 1981. TWO OF THESE MEMBERS SHALL BE
REPRESENTATIVES OF MANAGEMENT, AND TWO OF THESE MEMBERS
SHALL BE REPRESENTATIVES OF ORGANIZED LABOR.

(2)  MEMBERS OF THE ADVISORY COMMITTEE SHALL
RECEIVE NO COMPENSATION FOR SUCH SERVICES BUT SHALL BE
REIMBURSED FOR THEIR NECESSARY EXPENSES WHILE SERVING AS
MEMBERS OF THE COMMITTEE.

(3)  ANY VACANCY SHALL BE FILLED IN THE SAME
MANNER AS FOR AN ORIGINAL APPOINTMENT AND SHALL BE FOR THE
UNEXPIRED TERM.

(4)  THE COMMITTEE SHALL ELECT A CHAIRPERSON
ANNUALLY; THE GENERAL MANAGER OF STATE USE INDUSTRIES SHALL
SERVE AS EXECUTIVE SECRETARY TO THIS COMMITTEE.
