4-1116.
(a) A lessee may cultivate or remove oysters planted
on his leased oyster bottom in any manner he deems proper,
if he complies with the provisions of this subtitle relating
to dredging and tonging when transplanting oysters or
catching them for commercial purposes. [However, a lessee
in Dorchester, Charles (in waters other than the Patuxent
River), Queen Anne's, or Kent counties, or in the Manokin
River in Somerset County, may not catch oysters on leased
land by any device other than tongs or patent tongs.
Notwithstanding the provisions of Subtitle 10 applicable to
Dorchester County, a lessee may catch oysters by dredging on
leased oyster bottoms in Dorchester County waters of the
Nanticoke River.]
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1981.

AN ACT concerning
Water Resources - Prohibition on Discharge of
Chlorinated Water
FOR the purpose of prohibiting the Water Resources
Administration Department of Health and Mental Hygiene
from issuing a pollution discharge permit that allows
the discharge of chlorinated water use of chlorine or
chlorine compounds in the treatment of wastewaters
discharged into certain waters of the State; providing
an exception to the prohibition; providing for funding
to convert existing treatment systems; requiring that
local subdivisions owning or operating an existing
treatment system which is required to convert its
system in order to receive a permit, apply for funding
from the Environmental Protection Agency by a certain
date; providing for the effect of the failure of the
local subdivision's failure to apply on time; providing
that certain funds be provided in the State budget; and
presenting certain material for informational purposes;
and providing that the passage of this Act is
contingent upon the availability of certain matching
Federal funds.
