(3)  Any other licensee with a nursing specialty
that has been approved for third party reimbursement
conditioned on peer review.

(b) Each employer shall report periodically to the
Board the name and license number of each licensee employed
or placed to practice registered nursing[,] OR licensed
practical nursing[, or midwifery].

[Subtitle 6. Special Licensed Nurse Midwife Provisions.]

(a)  This subtitle does not limit the right of an
individual to practice a health occupation that the
individual is authorized to practice under this article.

(b)  This subtitle does not affect an individual who in
an emergency and without compensation attends a woman in
childbirth.]

(a) Except as otherwise, provided in this title, an
individual shall be licensed by the Board under this
subtitle before the individual may practice midwifery
habitually or for compensation in this State.

(b) This section does not apply to an individual who
practices midwifery under the personal direction and
supervision of a physician.]

[7-603.

(a)  To qualify for a license to practice midwifery, an
applicant shall be an individual who meets the requirements
of this section.

(b)  The applicant shall be of good moral character.

(c)  The applicant shall be at least 18 years old.

(d)  The applicant shall be a registered nurse.

(e)  The applicant shall be certified as a nurse
midwife by the American College of Nurse-Midwives.]

(a) Subject to the provisions of this section, a
license to practice midwifery issued under this subtitle
authorizes the licensee to practice midwifery while the
license is effective.
