Current Expenses

FOR the purpose of altering the amount of State aid to
Wor-Wic Tech Community College by a specified amount.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article - Education

16-403.

(c) (1) Except as otherwise provided in this
subsection, the State share is 50 percent of the current
expenses of each community college, but not more than $850
per full-time equivalent student.

(2) The State share is 55 percent of the current
expenses, but not more than $1,305 per full-time equivalent
student for:

(i) Any community college with less than
500 full-time equivalent students if the county in which the
community college is located has a population of less than
50,000; and

(ii) Any regional community college if the
counties that support the regional community college have a
combined population of less than 150,000.

(3) The State share is 55 percent of the current
expenses for Cecil Community College, Garrett Community
College, [and] Chesapeake College,AND WOR-WIC TECH COMMUNITY
COLLEGE, but not more than $1,540 per full-time equivalent
student.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1981.
