AN ACT concerning
Wiretapping and Electronic Surveillance - Disclosure and Use
FOR the purpose of permitting the disclosure of and the use
of information obtained from a wire or oral
communication to law and investigative officials in
certain jurisdictions; and permitting the contents of a
communication to be divulged under oath by a person
having knowledge of the contents.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:
Article - Courts and Judicial Proceedings
10-407.
(a) Any investigative or law enforcement officer who,
by any means authorized by this subtitle, has obtained
knowledge of the contents of any wire or oral communication,
or evidence derived therefrom, may disclose the contents to
another investigative or law enforcement officer of any
state, OR ANY POLITICAL SUBDIVISION OF A STATE, the United
States, or any [political subdivision of the United States]
TERRITORY, PROTECTORATE, OR POSSESSION OF THE UNITED STATES,
INCLUDING THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, to the extent that the
disclosure is appropriate to the proper performance of the
official duties of the officer making or receiving the
disclosure.
(b) Any investigative or law enforcement officer who,
by any means authorized by this subtitle, has obtained
knowledge of the contents of any wire or oral communication
or evidence derived therefrom OR AN INVESTIGATIVE OR LAW
ENFORCEMENT OFFICER OF ANY STATE OR ANY POLITICAL
SUBDIVISION OF A STATE, THE UNITED STATES OR ANY TERRITORY,
PROTECTORATE, OR POSSESSION OF THE UNITED STATES, INCLUDING
