funds to be used in accordance with § 257L of Article 41 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1978 Replacement Volume and
1980 Supplement, as amended from time to time).

(4) There is hereby levied and imposed an annual State
tax on all assessable property in the State in rate and
amount sufficient to pay the principal of and interest on
the bonds as and when due and until paid in full, such
principal to be discharged within fifteen years of the date
of issue of the bonds.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect June 1, 1981.

AN ACT concerning

Motor Vehicles - Tires - Nonrubber Material

FOR the purpose of exempting vehicles registered in certain
counties providing certain exemptions from the
prohibitions against the use or sale of tires having
certain nonrubber materials on the tires' periphery;
and clarifying language.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

22-405.2.

(a)  A person may not drive on any highway any motor
vehicle, trailer, or semitrailer having any metal tire in
contact with the roadway.
