Annotated Code of Maryland
(1977 Volume and 1980 Supplement)

BY adding to

Article - Transportation
Section 13-202(d) and 13-953
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1977 Volume and 1980 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article - Transportation

12-113.

(a) (1) The Administrator or any other officer or
employee of the Administration designated by the
Administrator may prepare and deliver on request a certified
copy of any record of the Administration.

(2)  The Administration may charge a fee of [$1]
$2 for each document it certifies.

(3)  NO CHARGE SHALL BE MADE TO A POLICE AGENCY
OR COURT IN THIS OR ANY OTHER STATE OR A POLICE AGENCY OR
COURT OF THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT.

13-202.

(D) A SECURED PARTY UNDER THIS SUBTITLE MAY OBTAIN
FROM THE ADMINISTRATION A DUPLICATE OF THE SECURITY INTEREST
FILING AS PROVIDED IN § 13-953 OF THIS TITLE.

13-506.

(a) (1) Notwithstanding any other provision to the
contrary, if, as a result of a total loss insurance
settlement, a vehicle is transferred as salvage, the
insurance company, its authorized agent, or the vehicle
owner shall send the certificate of title of the vehicle to
the Administration within 10 days from the date of the
settlement.

(2) On payment of a fee of $2, the
Administration shall issue a salvage certificate in the name
of the insurance company or vehicle owner. On receipt of the
