HARRY HUGHES, Governor                               1895

FOR the purpose of prohibiting the issuance of any license
for the sale of alcoholic beverages in the town of
Barnesville located within Montgomery County; and
providing for a local exception for one day alcoholic
beverages licenses to be issued to certain
organizations.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages
Section 37(a)

Annotated Code of Maryland
(1981 Replacement Volume)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

37.

(a) In Montgomery County, no license for the sale of
alcoholic beverages authorized by this article shall be
issued for any place of business located in any one of the
following election districts or towns of said county:
Laytonsville (1st district), Clarksburg (2nd district),
Darnestown (6th district), and Damascus (12th district), and
the towns of BARNESVILLE, Kensington, Takoma Park and
Washington Grove. IN THE TOWN OF BARNESVILLE, THE
MONTGOMERY COUNTY BOARD OF LICENSE COMMISSIONERS MAY ISSUE A
SPECIAL 7 DAY ON-SALE BEER, WINE, AND LIQUOR LICENSE TO ANY
BONA FIDE RELIGIOUS, FRATERNAL, CIVIC, OR CHARITABLE
ORGANIZATION.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1981.

examinations conducted by a law enforcement agency as
part of an investigation of a law enforcement officer
