(A)  PRACTICING WITHOUT A LICENSE.

EXCEPT AS OTHERWISE PROVIDED IN THIS TITLE, A PERSON
MAY NOT PRACTICE, ATTEMPT TO PRACTICE, OR OFFER TO PRACTICE
DENTISTRY OR DENTAL HYGIENE ON A HUMAN BEING IN THIS STATE
UNLESS LICENSED BY THE BOARD.

(B)  AIDING OR ABETTING UNAUTHORIZED PRACTICE OF DENTAL
HYGIENE.

A PERSON MAY NOT AID OR ABET UNAUTHORIZED PRACTICE OF
DENTAL HYGIENE IN THIS STATE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from the first clause
of Art. 32, § 1 and from Art. 32, § 31(a) and the
reference in the first half of § 33 to permitting
certain violations.

In subsection (a) of this section, the phrases
"attempt to practice" and "offer to practice" are
new language added to conform to similar
provisions governing other health occupations in
present Art. 43. See, e.g., as to "attempt" Art.
43, § 489(a), as to podiatrists, and as to
"offer" Art. 43, § 768, as to nursing home
administrators.

Also in subsection (a) of this section, the term
"on a human being" is new language added for
clarity. See the revisor's note to § 4-301 of
this title.

In subsection (b) of this section, the words "aid
or abet" are substituted for "permit" in present
Art. 32, § 33, for clarity.

As to the referenced exceptions, see §§ 4-102 and
4-301 of this title.

The balance of present Art. 32, § 33 now appears
in § 4-606 of this subtitle.

4-602. MISREPRESENTATION.

(A) IN GENERAL.

(1)  EXCEPT AS OTHERWISE PROVIDED IN THIS
SECTION, UNLESS AUTHORIZED TO PRACTICE DENTISTRY UNDER THIS
TITLE, A PERSON MAY NOT REPRESENT TO THE PUBLIC BY TITLE, BY
DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES, METHODS, OR PROCEDURES, OR
OTHERWISE, THAT THE PERSON IS AUTHORIZED TO PRACTICE
DENTISTRY IN THIS STATE.

(2)  UNLESS AUTHORIZED TO PRACTICE DENTAL HYGIENE
UNDER THIS TITLE, A PERSON MAY NOT REPRESENT TO THE PUBLIC
BY TITLE, BY DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES, METHODS, OR
