insurance policy or annuity contract to appoint a successor
custodian pursuant to subsection 302(d).

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1981.

Agriculture - Weights and Measures

FOR the purpose of requiring the Secretary of the Department
of Agriculture to delay enforcement of certain
regulations relating to stationary computing devices
which dispense gasoline, gasohol, kerosene or diesel
fuel until a time certain conditions are met; and
generally relating to certain computing devices.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article - Agriculture

11-207.

(E) THE SECRETARY SHALL DELAY ENFORCEMENT OF THOSE
REGULATIONS REQUIRING DISPLAY OF THE TOTAL COST FOR THE
AMOUNT PURCHASED ON STATIONARY, COMPUTING DEVICES WHICH
DISPENSE GASOLINE, GASOHOL, KEROSENE OR DIESEL FUEL UNTIL
JULY 1, 1982, IF:

(1)  THE BUSINESS WHERE THE DEVICE IS LOCATED DID
NOT DISPENSE MORE THAN 120,000 GALLONS OF FUEL IN THE YEAR
PRECEDING JANUARY 1, 1981;

(2)  THE BUSINESS PRODUCES EVIDENCE TO THE
SECRETARY OF THE AMOUNT DISPENSED;
