REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from the last main
clause of Art. 32, § 5(a), the references in the
second and third sentences of (c) to information
to be included on a limited license to practice
dentistry, and the reference in the first
sentence of (e)(2) to information to be included
on a dental teacher's license, from Art. 32, § 7,
the reference in § 25(c)2.f. to the number of a
license to practice dentistry, the references to
the contents of a teacher's license to practice
dental hygiene in § 28A(b), and the first and
second sentences of § 29(b) and (g).

In subsection (a) of this section, "license" is
substituted for the terms "certificate of
registration" and "license of qualification", for
clarity. See the definition of "license" in §
4-101 of this title.

The references in present Art. 32, § 29(g) to the
procedures and circumstances under which the
Board may issue a replacement license are deleted
as unnecessary since they are implicit in the
power of the Board to issue licenses.

The balance of Art. 32, § 28A(b) now appears in §
4-308 of this subtitle.

4-308. SCOPE OF LICENSE.

(A)  GENERAL LICENSE TO PRACTICE DENTISTRY.

A GENERAL LICENSE TO PRACTICE DENTISTRY ISSUED UNDER
THIS TITLE AUTHORIZES THE LICENSEE TO PRACTICE DENTISTRY
WHILE THE LICENSE IS EFFECTIVE.

(B)  LIMITED LICENSE TO PRACTICE DENTISTRY.

WHILE IT IS EFFECTIVE, A LIMITED LICENSE TO PRACTICE
DENTISTRY ISSUED UNDER THIS TITLE AUTHORIZES THE LICENSEE TO
PRACTICE DENTISTRY, INCLUDING AS AN INTERN OR A RESIDENT:

(1)  ONLY FOR THE INSTITUTION NAMED ON THE
LICENSE; AND

(2)  ONLY ON PATIENTS OF THE INSTITUTION NAMED ON
THE LICENSE.

(C)  TEACHER'S LICENSE TO PRACTICE DENTISTRY.

WHILE IT IS EFFECTIVE, A TEACHER'S LICENSE TO PRACTICE
DENTISTRY ISSUED UNDER THIS TITLE AUTHORIZES THE LICENSEE TO
PRACTICE DENTISTRY AT ONLY THE FOLLOWING INSTITUTIONS:

(1) THE INSTITUTION NAMED ON THE LICENSE; AND
