20-402. SUPERVISION OF WATERWORKS, WASTEWATER WORKS, AND
INDUSTRIAL WASTEWATER WORKS.

EACH WATERWORKS, WASTEWATER WORKS, AND INDUSTRIAL
WASTEWATER WORKS SHALL BE UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF A
SUPERINTENDENT WHO IS CERTIFIED IN THE APPROPRIATE
CLASSIFICATION.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from Art. 43, §
406A(g)(l), as that paragraph relates to
waterworks, wastewater works, and industrial
wastewater works being under the supervision of a
superintendent.

20-403. ADOPTION OF RULES AND REGULATIONS.

THE SECRETARY SHALL ADOPT RULES AND REGULATIONS TO
CARRY OUT THE PROVISIONS OF THIS TITLE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from the first
sentence of Art. 43, § 406A(c).

The present reference to the duty of the
Secretary to "enforce" rules and regulations is
deleted as unnecessary in light of the powers and
duties of the Secretary under Art. 43, § IF of
the Code.

20-404. TRAINING; TRAINING CENTER.

(A)  TRAINING.

THE DEPARTMENT SHALL PROVIDE THE NECESSARY TRAINING
THROUGHOUT THIS STATE TO CARRY OUT THE PROVISIONS OF THIS
TITLE.

(B)  TRAINING CENTER.

THE DEPARTMENT SHALL REQUEST BUDGET SUPPORT FOR THE
FEDERAL AND STATE APPROVED TRAINING CENTER IN THIS STATE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from Art. 43, §
406A(j).

In subsection (b) of this section, the term
"request" is substituted for "include" for
clarity and to conform to the provisions of Art.
III, § 52(1), (11), and (12) of the State
Constitution. Further clarification is left to
the General Assembly.
