be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article - Health Occupations

1-101.

(g) "Person" means, EXCEPT IN TITLE 21 OF THIS
ARTICLE, an individual, receiver, trustee, guardian,
personal representative, fiduciary, or representative of any
kind and any partnership, firm, association, corporation, or
other entity.

TITLE 20. WATERWORKS AND WASTE SYSTEMS OPERATORS.
SUBTITLE 1. DEFINITIONS; GENERAL PROVISIONS.
20-101. DEFINITIONS.

(A)  IN GENERAL.

IN THIS TITLE THE FOLLOWING WORDS HAVE THE MEANINGS
INDICATED.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language derived
without substantive change from the introductory
clause of Art. 43, § 406A(b). It is restated as
the standard introductory language to a
definition section.

See also § 1-101 of this article for other
applicable definitions.

(B)  BOARD.

"BOARD" MEANS THE STATE BOARD OF WATERWORKS AND WASTE
SYSTEMS OPERATORS.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language added
to avoid needless repetition of the full title of
the Board.

(C)  CERTIFICATE.

(1)  "CERTIFICATE" MEANS, UNLESS THE CONTEXT
REQUIRES OTHERWISE, A CERTIFICATE OF CERTIFICATION AS AN
OPERATOR, INDUSTRIAL OPERATOR, OR SUPERINTENDENT, ISSUED BY
THE BOARD.

(2)  "CERTIFICATE" INCLUDES:

(I)  A CERTIFICATE;

(II)  A TEMPORARY CERTIFICATE, AS LIMITED
BY § 20-305 OF THIS TITLE; AND

(III) A LIMITED CERTIFICATE, AS LIMITED BY
§ 20-305 OF THIS TITLE.
