CHAPTER 225

AN ACT concerning

St. Mary's County - Alcoholic Beverages - Licenses

FOR the purpose of lengthening the period of time during
which alcoholic beverages licenses may be issued in St.
Mary's County.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages
Section 68(d)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

68.

(d) (1) The Comptroller, and the clerk of the court
for the city or county, as the case may be, shall be
authorized to issue such new licenses for the ensuing year
as hereinabove provided, at any time between April
[15th] 1ST and May 1st, of each and every year, but all
such licenses shall be dated May 1st.

(2) NOTWITHSTANDING PARAGRAPH (1) OF THIS
SUBSECTION, IN ST. MARY'S COUNTY NEW LICENSES MAY BE ISSUED
AT ANY TIME BETWEEN APRIL 1ST AND MAY 1ST.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1981.
