Article 25 - County Commissioners
51.

(a)  The county treasurers of the several counties of
the State shall receive annually the respective salaries
herewith set forth for performing the duties required of
them by their respective public local laws and by the public
general laws of the State:

(c) (1) The county treasurer of Calvert County shall
receive an annual salary of [$18,500] $25,000. He shall
appoint one deputy treasurer, who shall receive an annual
salary as may be set by the County Commissioners.

Article - Courts and Judicial Proceedings

(f) (1) The Sheriff of Calvert County shall receive an
annual salary of [$19,500] $30,000. The Sheriff may appoint
deputy sheriffs in the number and at the salary approved by
the County Commissioners. The deputy sheriffs shall serve
under the direction of the Sheriff. Each deputy sheriff
shall be between the ages of 21 and 35 at the time of their
appointment. Within one year of their appointment, they
shall complete the course prescribed for policemen by the
Maryland Police Training Commission. There may be no
honorary deputy sheriffs of Calvert County and no one is
authorized to carry badges, certificates or other materials
for the purpose of identifying the bearer as an honorary
deputy sheriff. However, the Sheriff may appoint as special
deputy sheriffs any members of the police force of the towns
of North Beach or Chesapeake Beach who shall have all of the
powers and authority of the deputy sheriffs. The County
Commissioners are authorized to reimburse the towns of North
Beach and Chesapeake Beach in whole or in part for services
performed by the special deputy sheriffs outside the town
limits.

(b)  A juror shall receive the per diem amount stated
in this section for each day he attends court as a juror in:

(5) Calvert County [$15] $20 expense money plus
an additional $5 expense money if his service extends past
6:00 p.m. and a second additional $5 if his service extends
past 9:00 p.m. on any day.

(e) (1) In Calvert County the State's Attorney's
