AN ACT concerning

Weights and Measures - Milk and Other Fluid
Dairy Products

FOR the purpose of repealing the requirement that purchasers
or haulers of milk or other fluid dairy products obtain
a permit from the Secretary of Agriculture for certain
receiving stations; repealing the requirement that
certain persons who weigh, measure, sample, collect, or
transport these products take an examination and be
licensed by the Secretary; clarifying the definition of
a term; repealing the requirement that certain licenses
be displayed; clarifying language regarding the control
of milk and other fluid dairy products; and otherwise
generally amending the law relating to those
activities.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article - Agriculture

11-401.

[(h) "Receiving station" means any building, milk

plant, or mobile unit where milk or other fluid dairy

products are received from the producer, from a mobile unit,
or from another container used to transport milk.]
