SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:
Article 27 - Crimes and Punishments
259.
Nothing in this subtitle shall be construed to make it
unlawful to conduct or operate a game of bingo in Washington
County [provided that the maximum price for any one game
shall be ten cents and] provided [further] that [no prize
shall be in cash nor shall] a prize in CASH OR IN
merchandise of greater value than [ten dollars] $1,000 MAY
NOT be offered or given in any one game. Any person or
persons wishing to conduct or operate games of bingo shall
secure a permit therefor from the County Commissioners of
Washington County; and before issuing such permit the County
Commissioners shall ascertain the purpose of the said games
and the use of the receipts thereof.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1981.

Baltimore County - Alcoholic Beverages -
Sale of Alcoholic Beverages on Sundays
FOR the purpose of providing that holders of Class B and
Class C beer and light wine, and beer, wine, and liquor
licenses in Baltimore County may sell alcoholic
beverages at a bar or counter on Sundays.
