40) Edward Stevenson prayd leave of this Court to build An house wherein he might keep Ordry Which was thus farr granted to wit that the Sd Stevenson May get Tymber ready thefor and that they believed it would be granted him next Court ~ The officers of Cort Signe the Test and Association~~ The Court agreed with John Tilliard to build a good Strong prison of Logs 15 foot Long and ten foot wide and Six foot and An half from the flower to the Joyust for the Sume of two thousand pounds of tobacco and if well done According to the liking of the Cort five hundred pounds of tobo over and above the Said Sume of 2000lb tobo. which Sd order was afterwards Null’d GLumley Clk to The Constables being called ^ Deliver their informations appeare together with the Coroners of the County who Accordingly deliver their Informations to the grand Juries Who thereupon withdraw to Con: =Sider of them and after Some time return and deliver Such as they found to the Attry Grall of the County in order to be fram’d into bills ~ And was order’d upon Edward frye to have Credit for four hundred pds tobo ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ George Smith is Sworn Cunstable. // Walter Meeks appeares according to Recoge: and he’s order’d to give Security for his Appearance at the next Provinciall Court to be held for this Province ~ Whereupon Comes the Said Walter Meeks And Acknowledges himself to be firmly holden and bound unto his Sacred Majty Wm. The third of England &ca. in the full and Just Sume of fifty pounds Sterg. likewise Comes into Court Edward Bathurst & John Tylliard who acknowledged themselves to be Severall holden unto his Sacred Majty in the Sume of twenty five pounds Sterg. The Said Severall Sums to be levyed respectivly of their and Evry of their goods or Chattells Lands or tenements to the Use of his Said Majty his heires And Successors in Case the Said Walter Meeks do not Make his prsonall Appearance before the Justices of his Majtiys Next provinciall Court to be holden for the province of Maryland and in the Mean time be of good behaviour & Abbeare // ~ ~ Mr. Edward Bathurst and Mr. Thomas Covington acknowledge selves them^ Severally bound as afd in the Sume of twenty pounds Sterg. in Case they do not prsonally Appear at ye.
