      The Sher^f made return hereof Cepi Corps p^r me Joⁿ Hawkins Whereuoⁿ
      the S^d Def^t appeared & being held to baile Rob^t. Smith Esq^r become
      Baile to this accõn as to y^e two ccons afs^d, And thereupon y^e S^d Def^t
      bÿ Edward Bonwick his att^rÿ Craved oÿer of y^e pltf’s att^rÿs power
      which he had & thereupon praÿed leave to Imp^rle untill next w^ch
      he had after he p^rduced his warãnt of att^rÿ accord to Law, att
      w^ch S^d next this accõn was Continued untill this p^rsent Court wⁿ
      Comes as ~~p^r~~ well y^e S^d pltf bÿ his S^d att^rÿ as y^e S^d Def^t bÿ his Att^rÿ
      and y^e S^d pltf haveing filed his Declaⁿ according to y^e Rules of this Court
      comes & Declares as falloweth y^e Cause Stand for trÿall ——
    Kent Ss/ Peter Peterson als Dicts Peter Peterson of Kent Countÿ Carpenter
                  was Sum’d to answ^r unto Charles Hollins Hollinsworth of a plea y^t
                  he rend^r him y^e full & Just Sum^e of Six hundred & fiftÿ pounds
                  of good Sound tobacco w^ch to him he oweth & from him he unjustlÿ
                  Detaines &c^a as appears p^r y^e rest of y^e Declaⁿ filed &c^a

        Sufficient in y^e Lawe to Cause y^e S^d Def^t to make answ^r thereunto
        and this he is readÿ to aver wherefore for want of a good Sufficient
        matter in y^e Same writt to be Contained he y^e S^d Def^t praÿs Judg^t

           And the S^d Charles for replicaion Saÿeth y^t y^e writt of y^e pltf:
        in form afs^d pleaded p^rsented is good & Sufficient in Law to Cause
        the S^d Def^t to answ^r & this he is readÿ to verÿ & thereupon —

      Which being bÿ y^e Court heard and fullÿ understood It is bÿ them
      Considered here this 28^th Daÿ of March 1704 that y^e S^d pltf recover
      ag^t y^e S^d Def^t as well y^e Sum^e of Six hundred & fiftÿ pounds of tob^o
      The Debt afs^d as y^e Sum^e of two hundred Eightÿ & nine pounds
      of tob^o Cost of Suit & y^e Def^t in Mercÿ &c^a——
