      It is therefore Considered here bÿ y^e Court this 28^th Daÿ of March anno Dni
      1704 That y^e S^d Richard Macklin pltf recover a^t y^e Said Nicholas Cloudes
      Def^t as well y^e Sum^e of five hundred pounds of tob^o y^e D^t in S^d Declaⁿ & acc^t
      mentioned, as y^e Sum^e of two hundred fourtÿ & nine pounds of tobacco Cost of
      Suit and y^e Def^t in mercÿ &c^a

	him Safe keep Soe y^t he maÿ have his bodÿ before y^e Justices
	of Kent Countÿ att next Court then next falloweing to be held
	for Said Countÿ to answer unto Charles Hollinsworth of a plea

      a plea y^t he rend^r him &c^a The Sher^f made ret^r hereof Cepi Corpus p^r Joⁿ Hawkins Sher^f
      Whereupon y^e S^d Defend^t appeared & being held to Baile Rob^t Smith became —
      baile according to Law, and Thereupon y^e S^d Def^t bÿ Edward Bonwicke his Att^rÿ
      comes & Defends y^e force and Injurÿ when &c^a & Craved oÿer of y^e pltfs att^rÿs —
      power which was Showen him, likewise he y^e S^d Defts att^rÿ p^rduceth his —
      warrant of att^rÿ according to Lawe; & thereupon praÿed leave to Imp^rle
      untill next Court w^ch: was Granted him y^e Same Daÿ was Given y^e pltf
      allsoe att w^ch S^d next Court viz^t, on y^e 25^th Daÿ of Jan^rÿ 1703 this accon was
      Continued untill this p^rsent Court att w^ch S^d p^rsent Court comes as well y^e S^d
      Def^t bÿ his att^rÿ afs^d as y^e S^d pltf bÿ his S^d att^rÿ who Declares as fallow=
      eth viz^t
   Kent Ss) Peter Peterson als Dicts Peter Peterson of of Kent Countÿ Carpenter was
                  Sumõned to answer unto Charles Hollinsworth of a plea y^t he rend^r him y^e full
                  and Just Sum^e of one thousand four hundred pounds of good Sound Tobacco which
                  to him he oweth and from him he unjustlÿ Detaines —
      And whereupon y^e S^d Charles bÿ Richard Macklin his att^rÿ Complaines y^t whereas y^e S^d
      Peter y^e 12^th Daÿ of 9ber anno Dni 1703 att Kent Countÿ w^thin y^e Jurisdiction of this Court
      bÿ his Certaine bill or writing obligatorÿ Sealed w^th his Seal as his act & Delivered
      and hereinto Court brought whose Date is y^e Daÿ & year afs^d Did bind himself
      his heires Ex^rs: adm^rs: or assignes to paÿ or Cause to be paid unto y^e S^d Charles
      Hollinsworth y^e afs^d Sum^e of 1400^ls of tob^o quallifÿed as afs^d to be paid Conveni:
   = ent in Chester River yett notw^thstanding y^e S^d Peter y^e afs^d Sum^e of 1400^ls of
      tob^o according to y^e ten^r of of y^e Same bill obligatorÿ unto y^e S^d Charles hath not
      paid but y^e Same to paÿ hath & Still Doth Denÿ & unjustlÿ Detaine to the
      Damage of y^e S^d Charles Hollinsworth 2800^ls tob^o and thereupon he brings
      this Suit         Macklin p^r q^r: Pledges John Doe Richard Roe
