      Who being Elected trÿed & Sworne to Saÿ the truth in the p^rmisses Doe Saÿ

      upon their oath we of the ^ haveing heard the p^rcess & y^e pleading in this behalfe
      Doe Saÿ upon our oath we finde y^e Defd^t: Guilty of y^e p^rmisses, w^ch: being
       bÿ the Court heard & understood It is bÿ them Considered that the Sher^f
       of Kent Countÿ Imediatelÿ take the Said Will^m: Carman and putt him
       in y^e pillorÿ according to Custome, & there to remain fo^r y^e Space of one
       whole hour, & y^t after y^e S^d hour being Expired y^e Sher^f Doe take the
        Said Will^m: Carman to y^e Whipping post & Give him twen^tÿ lashes on the
        bare bake well Laid on. and that y^e S^d William Carman Doe Satisfie &
        paÿ unto y^e S^d John Campneÿ the Sum of three thousand nine hundred
        and Sixtÿ pounds of tob^o fo^r y^e four fold of y^e afores^d Gilding
        being bÿ this Court Vallued to y^e price of nine hundred pounds of tob^o
        and that y^e Said William Carman Doe paÿ all Cost & Charges in this

     And y^e Said Sher^f haveing Executed the Corporall punishm^ts. afores^d. the S^d Will^m~
      is Comitted into the Sher^fs Custodÿ fo^r y^e four fold & his fees, and thereup^on he is
      bound to Charles Hollinsworth ~~fo^r~~ his heirs & assignes fo^r four years Com:
      =mencing this 25^th Daÿ of June Anno Dni 1703 In Condrãion of w^ch time
      y^e S^d Charles Assumes y^e paÿm^t of y^e four fold and y^e S^d William
      Comes Into Court & binds himselfe fo^r four years more to y^e S^d Charles
       In Condraion of w^ch y^e S^d Charles paÿs all y^e S^d William’s Debts hither:
