HARRY HUGHES, Governor

(1)  On the mall, adjacent parking area, or other
outside area of any combination of privately owned retail
establishments, commonly known as a shopping center, to
which the general public is invited for business purposes,
unless authorized by the owner of the establishment;

(2)  On an adjacent parking area or other outside
area of any other retail establishment, unless authorized by
the owner of the establishment;

(3)  In any parked vehicle located on any of the
places enumerated in this section, unless authorized.

215.

Any person who violates the provisions of this
subheading is guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction is
subject to a fine not exceeding $100.

216.

This subheading applies only in the following [county]
COUNTIES:

(1)  Charles County, AND

(2)  CALVERT COUNTY.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1980.

CHAPTER 126

(Senate Bill 149)

AN ACT concerning

Landlord and Tenant - Renewal after Holdover

FOR the purpose of providing that when a landlord consents
to a holdover tenant remaining on the premises, the
holdover tenant becomes a periodic week-to-week tenant
if he was a week-to-week tenant prior to his holding
over, and a periodic month-to-month tenant in all other
cases, unless the lease provides otherwise and is
initialed by the tenant.
