[(4)] (5) In Montgomery County the rate is 6
percent per annum or as fixed by resolution of the County
Council; and

[(5)] (6) In Prince George's County the rate is
6 percent per annum or as fixed by resolution of the County
Council; and

[(6)] (7) In Somerset, Wicomico, and Worcester
counties the rate is 6 percent per annum or as fixed by the
county commissioners or by resolution of the county council.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1980.

AN ACT concerning

Senatorial and Delegate Scholarships - Professional and
Graduate Schools

FOR the purpose of providing that senatorial and delegate
scholarships may be used at a professional or graduate
school; specifying certain limitations on the use and
amount of a delegate scholarship; and generally
relating to senatorial and delegate scholarships.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Section 18-402(a), 18-404, 18-405, and 18-406(a) and

(b), 18-501, 18-503(b), and 18-504

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article - Education

18-402.

(a) (1) Each applicant for a senatorial scholarship
shall:

(i) Take a competitive examination
administered by the State Scholarship Board; and
