§ 9-101 of this title.
9-622. PUBLICATION OF FILING; HEARING SET.

(A)       NOTICE AND HEARING.

WHEN THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS RECEIVES THE ITEMS
SPECIFIED IN § 9-621 OF THIS SUBTITLE, THE BOARD SHALL:

(1)       PUBLISH A NOTICE OF THE FILING AND A PUBLIC
HEARING; AND

(2)       HOLD A PUBLIC HEARING NOT MORE THAN 45 DAYS
AFTER THE FILING.

(B)       PUBLICATION.

THE NOTICE SHALL BE PUBLISHED:

(1)   FOR AT LEAST 2 SUCCESSIVE WEEKS IN A
NEWSPAPER OF GENERAL CIRCULATION IN THE POLITICAL
SUBDIVISION WHERE THE PRINCIPAL BUSINESS OFFICE OF THE
CONVERTING FEDERAL ASSOCIATION IS LOCATED; AND

(2)   IN THE MARYLAND REGISTER AS PROVIDED IN THE
STATE DOCUMENTS LAW.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from CA § 6-229(d) and
the first sentence of (e).

Subsection (b) (1) of this section is new language
added to conform to similar provisions elsewhere
in this title and in keeping with the legislative
intent. See § 9-206 of this title and its
revisor's note.

In subsection (b)(2) of this section, the phrase
"in the Maryland Register" is added for clarity
and to conform to similar provisions elsewhere in
this title.

The balance of present CA § 6-229(e) now appears
in § 9-623 of this subtitle.

"Board of Commissioners" and "federal

association" are defined in § 9—101 of this
title.

9-623. REVIEW BY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS.

THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS SHALL APPROVE AN APPLICATION
FOR CONVERSION IF IT FINDS THAT:

(1) THE CONVERTING FEDERAL ASSOCIATION HAS MET
THE REQUIREMENTS OF SUBTITLE 2 OF THIS TITLE THAT RELATE TO
THE FORMATION OF A SAVINGS AND LOAN ASSOCIATION;
