SUBTITLE 1. DEFINITIONS; GENERAL PROHIBITION.
9-101. DEFINITIONS.

(A)       IN GENERAL.

IN THIS TITLE THE FOLLOWING WORDS HAVE THE MEANINGS
INDICATED.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language used as
the standard introductory language to a
definition section.

See also § 1-101 of this article for other
applicable definitions.

(B)       BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS.

"BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS" MEANS THE BOARD OF SAVINGS AND
LOAN COMMISSIONERS.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language added
to conform to the definition in § 8-101 of this
article.

The name of the Board is modified as explained in
the revisor's note to § 8-201 of this article.

(C)       DIVISION DIRECTOR.

"DIVISION DIRECTOR" MEANS THE DIRECTOR OF THE DIVISION
OF SAVINGS AND LOAN ASSOCIATIONS.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language added
to conform to the definitions in §§ 8-101 and
10-101 of this article.

The name of the Division is modified as explained
in the revisor's note to § 8-301 of this title.

(D)   FEDERAL ASSOCIATION.

"FEDERAL ASSOCIATION" MEANS A SAVINGS AND LOAN
ASSOCIATION THAT IS INCORPORATED UNDER THE LAWS OF THE
UNITED STATES.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection presently appears as CA
§ 6-201{f).

"{I}ncorporated under the laws of the United
States" is substituted for "chartered as a
federal savings and loan association under the
Home Owners' Loan Act of 1933" for clarity.

The only changes are in style.
