A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF
GAITHERSBURG OF APPROXIMATELY 10.4840 ACRES OF LAND LOCATED
ADJACENT TO THE PRESENT CORPORATE LIMITS. SAID PARCEL IS
LOCATED SOUTHWEST AND ADJACENT TO THE GAITHERSBURG HIGH
SCHOOL BETWEEN SUMMIT HALL AND DEER PARK ROADS.

RESOLUTION NO. R-56-79

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF
GAITHERSBURG, APPROXIMATELY 2.18633 ACRES OF LAND LOCATED
ADJACENT TO THE PRESENT CORPORATE LIMITS, SAID PARCEL BEING
LOCATED BETWEEN DIAMOND AVENUE AND THE B&O RAILROAD, JUST
WEST OF DIAMOND AVENUE'S INTERSECTION WITH GIRARD STREET

WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council of Gaithersburg
have received a petition requesting the enlargement of the
corporate boundaries of the City of Gaithersburg so as to
include the above noted parcel; and

WHEREAS, the signatures of the said petitions for
annexation have been verified and it has been ascertained
that the persons signing said petitions are owners of not
less than twenty-five percentum (25%) of the assessed
valuation of the real property located in the area to be
annexed, and it has been ascertained that there are no
persons residing in the area to be annexed who are
registered voters in County elections:

LOCATED ADJACENT TO THE CORPORATE LIMITS. SAID PARCEL,
KNOWN AS PART OF PROPERTY OF EIG ENTERPRISES, INC.,
SUCCESSOR TO WASHINGTON MOTOR HOTEL NO. 1, INC., IS LOCATED
NORTH OF FIELDS ROAD, 270 FEET EAST OF STORY DRIVE AND JUST
SOUTH OF PARCELS 1 AND 2, SHADY GROVE VILLAGE.
