RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, the consent of more than twenty-five percent
(25%) of the registered voting residents, and twenty-five

percent (25%) of the real property owners of land situate on
the West side of Irishtown and on the northern edge of the
said Town, having an access to Maryland Route 97, consisting             

of two parcels of land, having consented to the annexation

of such land by the Burgess and Commissioners of Emmitsburg,

and proper Notice of Hearing of said annexation having


been given by publication in the News Post and said public

hearing having been held on October 30th 1978, at the

Community Center, Emmitsburg, Maryland at 7:30 p.m.

      [Section 18-I-2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of

Frederick County, repealed and reenacted, with amendments.

Effective Date January 8, 1979]

  RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF FEDERALSBURG TO

ADD TO THE CORPORATE BOUNDARIES OF SAID MUNICIPAL

CORPORATION, SUBJECT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE CHARTER OF

SAID MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, TWENTY-FIVE PERCENTUM (25%) OF
REGISTERED AS VOTERS IN THE COUNTY ELECTIONS AND TWENTY-FIVE

PERCENTUM (25%) OF THE OWNERS OF THE ASSESSED VALUATION OF
REAL PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE AREA HAVING CONSENTED THERETO,

BY REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 104 OF THE ORDINANCES OF SAID

TOWN AS PASSED ON THE 5TH DAY OF MARCH, 1973, ENTITLED "AN

ORDINANCE DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE TOWN OF

FEDERALSBURG AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT

THEREWITH"; AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF, A NEW ORDINANCE

DELINEATING THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE SAID TOWN SO THAT

THERE SHALL BE INCLUDED WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE

SAID TOWN 23.127 ACRES, LOCATED TO THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF

THE PRESENT CORPORATE LIMITS OF SAID TOWN LYING TO THE NORTH
OF THE FEDERALSBURG-PRESTON ROAD AND GENERALLY LYING BETWEEN
THE LAUREL GROVE ROAD AND THE PRESENT LIMITS OF THE TOWN OF
FEDERALSBURG AND ALSO TO INCLUDE 54.21 ACRES LOCATED TO THE
SOUTHEAST OF THE PRESENT CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE SAID TOWN
LYING TO THE SOUTHEAST OF THE FEDERALSBURG BY-PASS AND TO
THE EAST OF THE PENN-CENTRAL RAILROAD COMPANY TRACKS BEING
DIRECTLY CONTINGUOUS TO THE PRESENT FEDERALSBURG INDUSTRIAL

PARK PROPERTIES.
