DENTON                                                    3855

OF REVISED MUNICIPAL CHARTER

A RESOLUTION of the Commissioners of Denton adopted
pursuant to the authority of Article XI-E of the
Constitution of the State of Maryland and Article 23A of the
Annotated Code of Maryland, title "Corporations
Municipal", repealing the charter of said town of Denton as
set forth in Sections 51 to 84M inclusive of Article 6 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1965 Edition) as
amended, and enacting in lieu thereof a revised Charter
being substantially the municipal corporation charter
contained in Article 23B of the Annotated Code of Maryland,
title "Municipal Corporation Charter", except Sections, 1,
2, 10, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22(4) (7) (8) (25) (31)
(32) (35) (37) (51) (52), 32, 33, 39, 43, 44, 45, 68, 69,
70, 91, and 101 of said Article 23B are omitted in their
entirety.

[Section(s) 51 through 84M of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Caroline County, repealed and Section(s) 100.0
through 1403.0 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Caroline
County added.

Effective Date August 22, 1979]

EASTON

(Talbot County)

RESOLUTION NO. 4542

WHEREAS, a petition for the annexation of land adjacent
and contiguous to part of the Northerly corporate boundary
of the Town of Easton has been filed by the Owners of all
said land not being assessed of the land to be annexed as it
is entirely owned by municipal corporations, said petition
being pursuant to Section 19, Article 23A, Annotated Code of
Maryland (1973 Replacement Volume); and

WHEREAS, the Presiding Officer of the Legislative Body
of the Municipal Corporation has caused to be made a
verification of the signatures thereon and has ascertained
that the persons signing the petition represent the Owners
of all of the real property located in the area to be
annexed and has verified that there are no persons residing
in the area to be annexed; and

WHEREAS, the Presiding Officer of the Legislative Body
of the Municipal Corporation has verified that the area to
be annexed is in fact contiguous and adjacent to the
existing corporate boundary of the Municipality.

[Section 2 of the Charter of Easton, Talbot County,
repealed and reenacted, with amendments.

Effective Date January 18, 1979]
