Honorable Benjamin L. Cardin
Speaker of the House of Delegates
State House
Annapolis, Maryland 21404
Dear Mr. Speaker:
In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the
Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed House Bill 2005.
This bill extends the time by which projects included
in the General Construction Loans of 1973, 1974, 1975, 1976,
1977, 1978 and the Maryland State Budget for the fiscal year
ending June 30, 1979 must be placed under contract.
Senate Bill 719, which was enacted by the General
Assembly and signed by me on May 27, 1980 accomplishes the
same purpose.
Therefore it is unnecessary for me to sign House Bill
2005.
Sincerely,
Harry Hughes
Governor
