FOR the purpose of reducing the number of hours on Sunday
morning when certain alcoholic beverage licensees are
prohibited from making a sale; and correcting language.

Dear Mr. President:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the
Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed Senate Bill 850.

This bill extends the permissible hours of Sunday
morning sales from 1 a.m. to 2 a.m. for holders of Class
B-beer, wine and liquor licenses in Montgomery County.

House Bill 178, which was enacted by the General
Assembly and signed by me on April 8, 1980 accomplishes the
same purpose.

Therefore it is unnecessary for me to sign Senate Bill
850.

FOR the purpose of allowing a local governing body of a
community college to establish a reserve fund for
future plant maintenance and repair; and providing that

moneys remaining in a reserve fund may not be

considered surplus funds.
