Industrial Land Act Fund

FOR the purpose of authorizing the creation of a State Debt
in the amount of $3,000,000, the proceeds to be used to
provide funds for the Industrial Land Fund, from which
to make loans to political subdivisions pursuant to the
Maryland Industrial Land Act; and providing generally
for the issue and sale of bonds evidencing the loan.

Dear Mr. President:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the
Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed Senate Bill 562.

This bill authorizes the Industrial Land Loan of 1980
in the aggregate amount of $3,000,000.

House Bill 926, which was enacted by the General
Assembly and signed by me on May 27, 1980 accomplishes the
same purpose.

Therefore it is unnecessary for me to sign Senate Bill
562.

AN ACT concerning

Creation of a State Debt -
Comprehensive Flood Management

FOR the purpose of authorizing the creation of a State Debt
in the amount of $3,000,000 $7,500,000, the proceeds to
be used for the Comprehensive Flood Management Grant
Program; and providing generally for the issue and sale
of bonds evidencing the loan; and making this Act
contingent upon the enactment and taking effect of
certain other legislation.
