MARYLAND, Sct.:
At a Session of the General Assembly of Maryland, begun and
held in the City of Annapolis on the Ninth Day
of January, 1980, and Ending on the Seventh Day
of April, 1980, Harry Hughes, being Governor of
the State, the following laws were enacted, to
wit:
CHAPTER 1
(Senate Bill 1036 of 1979)
AN ACT concerning
The Board of Public Works - Contracts
Subject to Board Approval
FOR the purpose of providing that the requirement that
contracts for the expenditure of the proceeds of a loan
authorized by the General Assembly shall be subject to
the approval of the Board of Public Works before they
are executed, does not apply if otherwise provided by
law; providing that the Board of Public Works may adopt
regulations, subject to approval by a certain
committee, by which State departments, boards,
commissions, or other agencies may enter into capital
project related contracts and change orders prior to or
without Board of Public Works approval under certain
conditions specified in the Act; and clarifying
language.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article 78A - Public Works
Section 1 and 7(1) and (6)
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1975 Replacement Volume and 1978 Supplement)
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:
Article 78A - Public Works
