BY repealing and reenacting, without amendments,

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

Section 16(a)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1976 Replacement Volume and 1979 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

8.

(a) A Class A beer license shall be issued by the
clerk of the circuit court of the county in which the place
of business is located and shall authorize the holder
thereof to keep for sale and sell beer at retail, in any
quantity to any consumers at the place therein described,
and to deliver the same in a sealed package or container,
which package or container shall not be opened nor its
contents consumed on the premises where sold. The annual
fee for [such a] THE license shall be [twenty-five dollars
($25.00)] $25 and shall be payable to [said] THE clerk
before any [such] license be issued, for distribution as
hereinafter provided.

(J-l) IN SOMERSET COUNTY THERE IS A 6 DAY AND A 7 DAY
CLASS A (OFF-SALE) BEER LICENSE.

(1)  IN SOMERSET COUNTY THE ANNUAL LICENSE FEE
FOR A 6 DAY LICENSE SHALL BE $100.

(2)  THE LICENSE FEE FOR A 7 DAY LICENSE IN
SOMERSET COUNTY SHALL BE $125.

(3)  IN SOMERSET COUNTY, A PERSON MAY NOT HOLD A
LICENSE UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SECTION UPON ANY
PREMISES HAVING ANY DIRECT OR INDIRECT CONNECTION WITH ANY
DRUG OR PHARMACEUTICAL, OR OTHER BUSINESS ESTABLISHMENTS OF
A TYPE COMMONLY KNOWN AS OR REFERRED TO AS DRUGSTORE.

9.

(a) A Class B license shall be issued by the clerk of
the circuit court of the county in which the place of
business is located, and shall authorize the holder thereof
to keep for sale and sell beer at retail at any hotel or
restaurant at the place therein described, for consumption
on the premises or elsewhere. The annual fee for [such a]
