Ch. 819

Convention Hall and maintaining title in the Convention
Hall by the State; providing for certain capital and
operating appropriations to the Convention Hall;
providing that present contracts or obligations may not
be impaired by this Act; providing for employment by
the Mayor and Council of Ocean City of present
employees of the Ocean City Convention Hall Commission;
and generally relating to the operation of the Ocean
City Convention Hall by the Mayor and Council of Ocean
City.

Section 405 and 406

(1978 Replacement Volume and 1979 Supplement)

BY adding to

Article 41 - Governor - Executive and Administrative

Departments
Section 405 and 406 to be under the amended subtitle

"Ocean City Convention Hall"
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1978 Replacement Volume and 1979 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 41 - Governor - Executive and Administrative
Departments

Ocean City Convention Hall [Commission]

405.

[(a) A State Commission to be known as "The Ocean City
Convention Hall Commission" is created as part of the
Department of Economic and Community Development, with
members, duties, powers and functions provided in this
section.

(b) The Commission shall have five members to be
appointed by the Secretary of Economic and Community
Development, with the approval of the Governor, for terms of
five years. The Secretary of Economic and Community
Development, with the approval of the Governor, shall name
one member as chairman and the Commission shall elect a
vice-chairman at its first organizational meeting. At least
two of the members shall be either residents or owners of
real property within the corporate limits of Ocean City.
The presence of three members at any meeting shall be a
quorum.
