Annotated Code of Maryland

(1978 Replacement Volume and 1979 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 38A - Fires and Investigations

55A.

(A)  THE STATE FIRE PREVENTION COMMISSION SHALL DEVELOP
A UNIFORM PROGRAM TO IDENTIFY THE DWELLINGS OF OCCUPANTS
NEEDING EVACUATION ASSISTANCE, BY THE DISPLAY OF A SIGN,
STICKER, OR OTHER APPROPRIATE SYMBOL.

(B)  THE COMMISSION SHALL ADOPT RULES AND REGULATIONS
GOVERNING THE DISTRIBUTION AND EMPLOYMENT OF THESE SYMBOLS.

(C)  THE STATE FIRE MARSHAL SHALL ENFORCE THE RULES AND
REGULATIONS ADOPTED BY THE COMMISSION.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1980.

AN ACT concerning

Credit Unions - Conversion to State Chartered

FOR the purpose of allowing certain credit unions to convert
to a State-chartered credit union, provided certain
requirements are met; providing for director's action,
notice to members, approval by members, and the effect
of conversion.
