[231S.] 9-206.
On request of a school board or political subdivision
of this State, the GENERAL SELECTION Board may provide
advisory services in procuring architectural and engineering
services. The school board or political subdivision shall
reimburse the GENERAL SELECTION Board for the costs of these
services.
[231T.] 9-207.
(a) A using authority that desires to procure
architectural or engineering services costing over $25,000
shall present the request to the GENERAL SELECTION Board at
a public meeting.
(b) Reasonable and timely public notice shall be given
of any request presented to the GENERAL SELECTION Board.
(c) Before the GENERAL SELECTION Board approves any
request for architectural or engineering services, it shall
be satisfied that the services cannot be provided feasibly
or economically by existing in-house resources.

(a) (1) The GENERAL SELECTION Board shall require
uniform and consistent public announcements of all its
approvals of requests for the procurement of architectural
or engineering services.
(2) In addition, an announcement of the approval
of each request shall be mailed to each person that requests
notification.
(b) Each announcement shall:
(1) Describe generally the architectural and
engineering services to be procured; and
(2) Indicate how interested persons may receive
information about the procurement.
(c) On request, the GENERAL SELECTION Board shall give
each interested person a comprehensive description of the
nature and scope of the professional services to be
procured. The using authority making the procurement request
shall prepare the description.

(a) (1) The recommendation of the GENERAL SELECTION
Board for the procurement and award of each contract for
architectural and engineering services costing over $25,000
shall:
