[(viii) Service performed except as
provided in § 20(g)(7), in the employ of a corporation,
community chest fund, or foundation, organized and operated
exclusively for religious, charitable, scientific, literary,
or educational purposes, or for the prevention of cruelty to
children or animals, no part of the net earnings of which
inures to the benefit of any private shareholder or
individual, and no substantial part of the activities of
which is carrying on propaganda, or otherwise attempting to
influence legislation;]

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section(s)
20(g)(8)(ix) through (xx), respectively, of Article 95A -
Unemployment Insurance Law, of the Annotated Code of
Maryland be renumbered to be Section(s) 20(g)(8)(viii)
through (xix), respectively.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the
provision of this Act that changes the terms of the members
of the State Advisory Council shall apply only to persons
appointed as members after the effective date of this Act.

SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That if any
provision of this Act or the application thereof to any
person or circumstance is held invalid for any reason, the
invalidity shall not affect the other provisions or any
other application of this Act which can be given effect
without the invalid provisions or application, and to this
end all the provisions of this Act are declared to be
severable.

SECTION 5. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1980.
