(Senate Bill 883)

AN ACT concerning

Public Service Commission - Jurisdiction Law

FOR the purpose of transferring certain provisions of law
relating to the jurisdiction of the Public Service

Commission in Washington County; deleting the

requirement that armored carriers comply with certain
provisions; repealing the prohibition against banks
operating an armored car service; making technical
corrections; and repealing certain obsolete provisions.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 78 - Public Service Commission Law

1.

[(a)] The jurisdiction and powers of the Public
Service Commission shall extend to all public service
companies, as hereinafter defined, engaged in or operating a
utility business in this State, and to certain additional
motor carriers, as hereinafter provided, to the full extent
permitted by the Constitution and laws of the United States.
