corporation" by virtue of any public general or public local
law, any employee thereof who has been a member of the
retirement system may continue membership in the system at
the employee's election if the employer's contribution, as
required herein, continues to be made pursuant to this
article.

(2) For the purpose of participation in the
Employees' Retirement System the following entities each
shall be considered to be a municipal corporation:

(i) The Interstate Commission on the
Potomac River Basin[, a]; AND.

(ii) A cooperative library commission

[(ii)] (III) The Upper Potomac River
Commission.

[(iii)] (IV) The Tri-County Council for
Western Maryland, Inc.

[(iv)] (V) The Allegany County Transit
Authority.

[(v)} (VI) The Health Planning Council of
Appalachia.

[(vi)] (VII) The St. Mary's County
Nursing Home.

83.

The membership of this retirement system shall be
composed as follows:

(3a) (f) Any member of the Teachers' Retirement
System of the State of Maryland who transferred his credit
from the employees' retirement system of the City of
Baltimore prior to July 1, 1971, from and after July 1,
1972, shall pay the rate of contribution for his attained
age at the time of his enrollment in the city system which
was in effect at the time of his enrollment in the State
Teachers' System, except that said rate shall not exceed 5
percent as provided in [§ 89(2)(a)] § 89(1)(A) of this
subtitle.

In this subtitle the following words have the meanings
indicated.

(4) (b) "Employee" includes any:

(iv) Permanent employee of the boards of
supervisors of elections as provided in [§ 113(6)(a)] §
113(7)(A) of this subtitle.
