impairs the person's mobility, and which is so severe that
the person would endure a hardship or be subject to a risk
of injury if the privileges accorded a person for whom a
vehicle is specially registered under this section were
denied; OR

(VI) HAS A PHYSICAL DISABILITY, AS
CERTIFIED BY A LICENSED PHYSICIAN AND DETERMINED BY THE
ADMINISTRATION, WHICH IS NOT PERMANENT, BUT WHICH
SUBSTANTIALLY IMPAIRS THE PERSON'S MOBILITY FOR NO LESS THAN
5 WEEKS, AND WHICH IS SO SEVERE THAT THE PERSON WOULD ENDURE
A HARDSHIP OR BE SUBJECT TO A RISK OF INJURY IF THE
PRIVILEGES ACCORDED A PERSON FOR WHOM A VEHICLE IS SPECIALLY
REGISTERED UNDER THIS SECTION WERE DENIED.

13-616.1.

(d) (1) A permit issued under this section expires 2
years from the date of issue FOR A DISABILITY STATED IN
SUBPARAGRAPHS (I) THROUGH (V) OF § 13-616(A)(1) OF THIS
SUBTITLE. THE PERMIT [and] may be renewed [upon] ON
application and payment of the prescribed fee.

(2)  A PERMIT ISSUED UNDER THIS SECTION FOR THE
DISABILITY STATED IN SUBPARAGRAPH (VI) OF § 13-616(A)(1) OF
THIS SUBTITLE EXPIRES AT THE DISCRETION OF THE
ADMINISTRATION BUT MAY NOT EXCEED 2 YEARS 90 DAYS FROM THE
DATE OF ISSUE. THE PERMIT MAY BE RENEWED ON APPLICATION AND
PAYMENT OF THE PRESCRIBED FEE.

(3)  A PERMIT ISSUED UNDER THIS SECTION SHALL
HAVE ITS EXPIRATION DATE INDICATED ON ITS FACE IN LARGE
LETTERS OR NUMBERS.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1980.

Maximum Permissible Interest Rates

FOR the purpose of increasing the maximum amount of unpaid
principal balance on which lenders may charge a certain
rate of interest.
