AN ACT concerning

Cecil County - Bushwacking

FOR the purpose of excluding a certain portion of the
Sassafras River from the exemption that allows
bushwacking in the waters of certain rivers and flats
in Cecil County.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Section 10-606(a)(l)
Annotated Code of Maryland

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article - Natural Resources

10-606.

(a) A person may not hunt or purposely, or
unnecessarily disturb wild waterfowl from or in a boat of
any description within the State. However, this section does
not prohibit a person from:

(1) Bushwacking in the waters of the Susquehanna
Flats, Elk [and Sassafras rivers in Cecil County] RIVER, AND
THAT PORTION OF THE SASSAFRAS RIVER IN CECIL COUNTY LOCATED
WEST OF THE 76°00 75° 58' 45" and In the waters of
Chincoteague Bay, Sinepuxent Bay, Isle of Wight, Assawoman
Bay and their respective tributaries in Worcester County;

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1980.
