SUBJECT TO A FINE OF TO $1,000, IMPRISONMENT UP TO 1 YEAR,
OR BOTH, IN ADDITION TO ANY CIVIL PENALTIES
(B) A PERSON WHO WILFULLY SELLS A BUSINESS
OPPORTUNITY IN VIOLATION OF THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SUBTITLE,
AND WHO IN A DISCLOSURE STATEMENT OR AN AMENDMENT TO IT
WILLFULLY MAKES ANY FALSE OR MISLEADING STATEMENT OF A
MATERIAL FACT, OR WHO WILLFULLY OMITS TO STATE ANY MATERIAL
FACT REQUIRED OR NECESSARY TO MAKE THE STATEMENTS IN A
DISCLOSURE STATEMENT NOT MISLEADING, IS GUILTY OF A FELONY,
AND UPON CONVICTION, IS SUBJECT TO IMPRISONMENT UP TO 5
YEARS, A FINE UP TO $10,000 PER VIOLATION, OR BOTH.
(C) NOTHING IN THIS SUBTITLE LIMITS THE POWER OF THIS
STATE TO PUNISH ANY PERSON FOR ANY CONDUCT WHICH CONSTITUTES
A CRIME BY STATUTE OR AT COMMON LAW.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That if any
provision of this Act or the application thereof to any
person or circumstance is held invalid for any reason, the
invalidity shall not affect the other provisions or any
other application of this Act which can be given effect
without the invalid provisions or application, and to this
end all the provisions of this Act are declared to be
severable.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1980.

AN ACT concerning
Baltimore County Board of Education - Student
Nonvoting Member
FOR the purpose of providing for a student nonvoting member
on the Baltimore County Board of Education; providing
for the qualifications and duties of the student
member; providing that the provisions for a student
nonvoting member may not be enforced after July 1, 1983
unless certain conditions are met; and generally
relating to the nonvoting student member on the
Baltimore County Board of Education.
