(OO) SALES TO A WATERMAN OF MACHINERY, TOOLS, REPAIR
PARTS, FUEL, AND SUPPLIES; PROVIDED THAT THESE ITEMS ARE TO
BE USED IN EXTRACTING FISH, BIVALVES, OR CRUSTACEANS FROM
WATERS FOR COMMERCIAL PURPOSES.

(y) [Fish or other materials used as crab bait,
whether in "crab pots" or otherwise.] SALES OF CRAB BAIT,
HAND TONGS, PATENT TONGS, CLAM OR OYSTER RAKES, DREDGES,
HANDSCRAPES, CRAB POTS, EEL POTS, FISH NET, FUEL AND REPAIR
PARTS FOR USE BY COMMERCIAL FISHING VESSELS.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1980.

Pensions - Board of Election Employees

FOR the purpose of permitting certain employees of certain
boards of supervisors of elections to purchase credit
for service performed before joining the Employees'
Retirement System.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 73B - Pensions

The membership of the retirement system shall consist
of the following:

(6) (a) All full-time and part-time permanent
employees of the boards of supervisors of elections of the
counties and in Baltimore City shall become members of the
Employees' Retirement System of the State of Maryland as a
