36.01.02.01 State Share of Basic
Current Expenses

General Fund Appropriation,
provided that $49,470,659 of
this amount is contingent
upon the passage of

legislation amending the
Annotated Code of Maryland,
Section 5-202(b)(2) and (3)
of the Education Article,
1979 Supplement, to increase
the State's share of basic
current expense; and further

provided that of the

$41,470,659 to be

distributed to all counties
and Baltimore City on an
equalized basis, seven

percent of the amount so

distributed to each county
and Baltimore City will be
utilized for

vocational technical

education programs approved

by the State Board of

Education; and further
provided that funds
appropriated herein for the
State's share of basic
current expenses under
Section 5—202 of the
Education Article are
restricted and may not be
transferred by budget
