1700 LAWS OF MARYLAND Ch. 518 30, 1981, submitted to the General Assembly by the Governor. The approval of the General Assembly of the appropriations of the Division of Correction — Headquarters and the several correctional institutions shall not be construed as an approval by the General Assembly of proposals by the Secretary of Public Safety and Correctional Services that the State's Correctional institutions subject to any standards adopted, promulgated and/or proposed by the American Correctional Association and/or the Commission on Accreditation for Corrections. It is the expressed intent of the General Assembly that accreditation standards as promulgated and/or proposed by the American Correctional Association and/or the Commission on Accreditation for Corrections for the State's several correctional institutions shall be reviewed and approved by the implementation in the several correctional institutions. It is the further intent of the General Assembly that no funds provided herein for the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services the Division of Correction - Headquarters, and/or the several correctional institutions are to be expended for the study, proposal and/or implementation of standards of accreditation as promulgated and or proposed by the American Correctional Association and/or the Commission on Accreditation for Corrections for the State's correctional
