HARRY HUGHES, Governor

Airy, in Carroll County, of motion pictures between the
hours of 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. and after 9 p.m. on the first day
of the week, commonly called Sunday, whether the same be
exhibited with or without a charge or admission fee;
provided, however, that such exhibition shall be subject to
all provisions of law relating to licensing and censorship
applicable to motion picture exhibitions on weekdays. The
work or employment of any operator, ticket seller or any
other employee or attendants in connection with any such
exhibition of motion pictures shall not be unlawful because
performed on Sundays. Any exhibition of motion pictures on
Sundays, except as hereby authorized, shall be unlawful and
subject to the provisions and penalties of said §§ 492 and
522 of this article.]

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1980.

AN ACT concerning

Carroll County - Contracts and Purchases

FOR the purpose of altering in Carroll County the dollar
limitation on bids for supplies and equipment; and

providing that professional service contracts,

regardless of amount, may be entered into by the
Carroll County Commissioners without bid.

FOR the purpose of increasing the threshold dollar amount
for competitive bidding of certain contracts in Carroll

County; and exempting from competitive bidding

requirements certain professional services contracts.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
