AN ACT concerning

Prince George's County - Shared Space in Public Schools

PG 418-80

FOR the purpose of creating a Shared Space Council to
consider the alternative use of vacant space existing
in the Prince George's County public schools; providing
for the appointment and terms of county employee and
citizen members to the Council; requiring certain
duties for the Council; providing for the appointment
of additional county employee members; and generally
relating to the Shared Space Council in Prince George's
County.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article - Education

3-805.

(A) THE PURPOSE OF THE SHARED SPACE COUNCIL IS TO
CONSIDER THE ALTERNATIVE USE OF ANY VACANT SPACE THAT EXISTS
IN THE PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS.

(B) THERE IS A SHARED SPACE COUNCIL IN PRINCE GEORGE'S
COUNTY.

(C)(1) THE COUNCIL CONSISTS OF 21 MEMBERS APPOINTED
BY THE COUNTY EXECUTIVE.

(2) OF THE COUNCIL MEMBERS:

(I) EIGHT SHALL BE COUNTY CITIZENS; AND
(II) 13 SHALL BE EMPLOYEES OF THE COUNTY.

(3) OF THE COUNTY EMPLOYEE MEMBERS:

(I) ONE SHALL BE FROM THE STAFF OF THE
COUNTY BOARD;
